    Alex Mendolia is in his first season as an assistant coach on the men’s soccer staff.  He joins the Pioneers after one season as an assistant coach at Farmingdale State College, his alma mater.  Mendolia played four seasons at Farmingdale, earning All-Skyline honors as well as scholar-athlete accolades, and he also captained the Rams during his senior season. 
    Mendolia has a wide range of coaching experience with the Stony Brook Soccer Club, coaching three different teams as he earned the 2012 Coach of the Year title.  He has also spent the past four years as the assistant soccer director for Future Stars summer camps.
    Mendolia received his bachelor’s degree in Business Management Technology from Farmingdale, and is currently attending LIU Post working towards a master’s degree in history.
