John Jez was promoted to the position of head men's lacrosse coach at C.W. Post in the summer of 2006. Also the school's assistant equipment manager, he served as an assistant coach on retired mentor Tom Postel's Pioneers squads during the 2004 and 2005 seasons.

A former All-America player at Pfeiffer University (1993, 94), Jez was the head coach at Pace University in the 2003-04 seasons. He led the Setters to as high as the No. 3 ranking nationally in Division II, and coached the nation’s top scoring offense at the Pleasantville, N.Y. school. Jez, who served as an assistant coach at Pace for six seasons prior to his promotion, also spent one year as an assistant coach at Sacred Heart.

Jez and his wife, Christine, reside in Ossining, N.Y. with their two children, Olivia (9) and Dakota (3) and Jayln (1).
