Gwaltney Named PSAC Offensive Player Of The Week

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Oct. 19, 2008) – Sophomore tailback
Jason Gwaltney (North Babylon, N.Y.) was named this week's Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Sunday afternoon.
Gwaltney becomes the first-ever C.W. Post player to be named an East Player of the Week as he rushed for 156 yards and four touchdowns as the Pioneers claimed their second conference win of the season against Millersville, 55-38.
Gwaltney, who is averaging 119 yards per game in five games played this season, averaged 7.8 yards per carry and also caught a 49-yard pass, giving him 205 all-purpose
yards for the day. He ran for two touchdowns in a span of 2:29 at the end of the first half to make a four-point deficit into a 10-point lead. His TD run early in the third quarter once again gave the Pioneers a 10-point lead and he then ran for his fourth score of the game late in the third quarter, opening up Post's lead to 21 points.
The Pioneers will host their final home game of the regular season against East Stroudsburg on Oct. 25 at 12 p.m. on Hickox Field.
