BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 7, 2008)- The C.W. Post Pioneers dropped a 8-1 decision to East Coast Conference opponent Queens College Tuesday afternoon. The Pioneers overall record fell to 1-4 while the Knights improved to 6-1.

Senior Gena Bales (Sayville, N.Y.) was the lone Pioneer to win her sets in No. 6 singles. She defeated her Queens opponent in two sets, attempting to rally her team back. She later teamed up with fellow senior Alexis Kramer (Dix Hills, N.Y.) but fell to their rivals, 0-8.

The Pioneers are back again for East Coast Conference action as they travel to Oakdale, N.Y. to take on Dowling College.
