Giordano Earns Rookie Of The Week Honor
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Apr. 22, 2008) – Freshman goalkeeper Michael Giordano (Farmingville, N.Y.) was named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
In a 1-0 week for the Pioneers, Giordano stopped eight shots in goal, also picking up two ground balls, to help the Pioneers to a 13-12 win over Molloy College.
C.W. Post (9-3, 2-2 ECC), ranked fourth in this week's USILA poll, will host ECC opponent Dowling on Apr. 26 at 12 p.m.
