No. 11 Softball Set To Begin Play In ECC Championship Tournament

The six-team field has been set and the C.W. Post softball team will begin play in the upcoming East Coast Conference Softball Championship Tournament, set to begin on Wednesday. The top-seeded Pioneers will play the University of Bridgeport on Thursday, May 1 at 11:30 a.m. at host Dowling College.
Bridgeport advanced in the tournament after defeating the New York Institute of Technology by a 1-0 score Wednesday afternoon.
C.W. Post (41-14, 18-2 ECC) has won six of the last seven ECC regular season titles dating back to 2002. The Pioneers broke the 40-win barrier during regular season play for the first time in program history.
