Men's Soccer Chosen Sixth in ECC Preseason Poll
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (August 21, 2008)- The East Coast Conference released its preseason men's soccer poll and C.W. Post has been selected sixth in the nine-school field, as voted on by the conference coaches. 2007 NCAA Quarterfinalist and 2007 ECC Tournament champion Dowling College was picked finish first in the ECC.
Senior forward Michael Frimpong-Manso of Mercy College was selected as the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, and senior defender Josue Cruz of the New York Institute of Technology was selected as the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
Head coach Dieter Ficken and the Pioneers finished the 2007 season with an overall record of 5-10-2, including a 3-6-0 mark in the conference.
