Manns Picks Up PSAC East Defensive Player Of The Week Honor
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Oct. 25, 2009) – Graduate linebacker Peter Manns (Dorchester, Mass.) was named this week's Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East division Defensive Player of the Week for his stellar defense that helped C.W. Post seal its 42-24 win over East Stroudsburg on Saturday.
Manns made 12 tackles, including eight solo stop, and made two tackles for loss, including a sack for a loss of nine yards, and returned an interception for a touchdown to help C.W. Post to a 42-24 win over East Stroudsburg. Manns, who leads the Pioneers with 85 tackles this season to rank fourth in the PSAC, returned his pick for a touchdown with 2:59 left in the fourth quarter to ice the game for the Pioneers and put them up by three scores.
C.W. Post (4-5, 4-2 PSAC East) returns home to host Kutztown University on Saturday, Oct. 31. The Pioneers look to avenge a 21-14 loss at the hands of the Golden Bears on Nov. 1, 2008.
