Women's Tennis Drops 5-0 Decision To Dowling College In ECC Semifinals

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 8, 2009)- The Dowling College Lions shut out the C.W. Post Pioneers 5-0 Thursday afternoon in the East Coast Conference Team Semi-Finals.

The Lions improve their record 6-3 while the Pioneers fall to 4-6 overall.

C.W. Post is back in action October 12 as they take on Dowling College at 12 p.m.

Singles competition

3. Diane Kobasiuk (DOW) def. Aysylu Mardanova (CWP) 6-0, 6-0

Doubles competition

1. Tamiris Diversi/Cristina Hoffmann (DOW) def. Morgan Milleisen/Katie Avelar (CWP) 8-2

2. Diane Kobasiuk/Cristina Sousa (DOW) def. Aysylu Mardanova/Rosemary Marrugo (CWP) 8-1

3. Alexa Speyer/Chanida Monparpunth (DOW) def. Chloe Przonek/Kristin Hetiler (CWP) 8-5
