Brown Earns AFCA All-America Distinction

WACO, Texas (Dec. 8, 2009)
– The American Football Coaches Association announced the 2009 Division II All-America Team and junior Xavier Brown (Bay Shore, N.Y.) was selected as a defensive lineman to the team.
In 10 games, Brown led the Pioneers with 13.5 tackles for loss of 79 yards and made 8.5 sacks for 58 yards. Along with 30 defensive tackles, Brown also was credited with nine quarterback hurries and two forced fumbles. 
Brown becomes the first Pioneer to be named All-American since Maurice Baker and Woody Aime were named to All-America teams after the 2006 season.
