USILA Tabs Men's Lacrosse Third In This Week's Coaches Poll
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Feb. 16, 2009) – The United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its first coaches poll of the 2009 season and the C.W. Post men's lacrosse team was selected third.
East Coast Conference member New York Institute of Technology topped the poll with eight first-place votes followed by Le Moyne College. Mercyhurst College was fourth followed by Limestone. Also representing the ECC was fifth-ranked Adelphi followed by Dowling. Merrimack College was eighth and Molloy College placed ninth. Mars Hill rounded out the poll as Bentley, Wingate, Belmont Abbey and Notre Dame de Namur received votes.
C.W. Post opened the 2009 season with a 15-7 win over Wingate on Feb. 14. The Pioneers return to action Feb. 17 at Catawba College at 4 p.m.
