Men's Lacrosse Stays Third In This Week's USILA Poll
BALTIMORE (March 2, 2009) – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) weekly coaches poll showed no change in the top four teams from the previous poll.
The C.W. Post men's lacrosse team stayed third this week, receiving 64 points.
New York Institute of Technology continued to reign at the top, receiving a unanimous eight votes. Le Moyne College was second followed by the Pioneers. Mercyhurst College stayed fourth as did Adelphi University this week.
Dowling College and Merrimack College flip flopped from sixth and seventh, respectively. Mars Hill stayed eighth and Molloy College was ninth. Notre Dame de Namur University entered the poll for the first time and was voted 10th.
Limestone College, Bentley Univeristy, Seton Hill and Belmont Abbey all received votes.
The Pioneers cruised to a 21-3 victory over Assumption College on Feb. 28 and will next play at Bentley College March 7 at 1 p.m.
