Men's Lacrosse Second In USILA Poll
BALTIMORE (April 20, 2009) – The C.W. Post men's lacrosse team captured a win over Mercyhurst College to keep its No. 2 ranking in this week's USILA coaches poll.
The Pioneers, who are also ranked first in the NCAA Central Region, defeated the Lakers, 10-5, in an East Coast Conference clash Saturday afternoon.
LeMoyne College received nine first-place votes and remains unbeaten with a 12-0 record after defeating American International and Saint Michael's.
NYIT stayed third while Merrimack moved up to fourth and Molloy dropped to fifth. Mercyhurst and Bentley remained sixth and seventh, respectively while Limestone and Dowling tied for eighth. Saint Leo entered the poll this week at tenth after defeating Mars Hill.
C.W. Post (11-1, 4-0 ECC) will play its final home game of the regular season Saturday, April 25 at 12 p.m.
