Coric's Seven-Point Effort Against Dowling Earns ECC Honors
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (May 4, 2009) – Sophomore attacker Nicholas Coric (Walnut Creek, Calif.) was named this week's East Coast Conference Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Mercyhurt's Jason LaShomb was named the ECC Goalkeeper of the Week.
Coric was a catalyst on the offense against Dowling as he registered a hat trick on goal and added four assists. Coric scored the go-ahead goal in the second quarter that put the Pioneers ahead, 5-4. C.W. Post kept the lead for the rest of the game.
C.W. Post (13-1, 5-0 ECC) will host Limestone College in the semifinal round of the NCAA Championships on May 16.
