Tennis Fourth In ECC Preseason Poll
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (August 26, 2009) – The C.W. Post tennis team placed fourth in the East Coast Conference preseason coaches poll, released Wednesday afternoon.
Queens College received a unanimous six first-place votes to lead the poll. Dowling College placed second followed by St. Thomas Aquinas. The newest member of the conference, University of District of Columbia, was fifth. Molloy College rounded out the poll at sixth.
The Pioneers finished the 2008 season at 1-5 overall and look to be contenders this season. They open the 2009 schedule Sept. 10 at home against UDC.
