Volleyball Ranked Seventh in Latest NCAA Regional Rankings
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA (Oct. 20, 2010) – The C.W. Post volleyball team enters play this week ranked seventh in the East Region of the NCAA Regional Rankings. The Pioneers came into the week with a 15-8 record, while enjoying a 14-7 record against in-region opponents.
The Pioneers now stand at a 16-8 record on the year, with a 4-3 conference mark after defeating Molloy on Tuesday Oct. 19. C.W. Post is now in fourth place in the conference. Three other conference teams were in the top ten rankings as Bridgeport and Dowling made up the top two spots and NYIT dropped in at number eight.
Saturday Oct. 23 will be the next competition for the Pioneers, as #24 Dowling and American International will come into the Pratt Recreation Center for a tri-match event. The first match is scheduled for 11 a.m. with a conference battle between the Pioneers and Dowling.
All those planning on attending the matches on Saturday are encouraged to wear pink as the Volleyball team is building awareness for breast cancer with the promotion of “Dig Pink.”
