Volleyball Moves Up to the Fifth Spot in the Latest NCAA East Regional Rankings
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA (Oct. 28, 2010) – C.W. Post Volleyball lands in the fifth spot of this week's East Region of the NCAA Regional Rankings, which were released late yesterday. The Pioneers move up two spots after being seventh in the east in last week's rankings. Coach Ogoshi and the Pioneers now stand at a record of 18-9 overall and a 17-8 in-region mark.
For tonight's East Coast Conference match, C.W. Post will travel down the road to NYIT for a 7 p.m. match. This match could very well go a long way in determining seeds for the upcoming ECC Volleyball Championships. The Pioneers currently hold a 4-4 conference record in third place, while NYIT sits at 5-3 in the third place.
Tonight's match will be the only one of the week for the Pioneers, as they will not return to action until Tuesday Nov. 2 for the season home finale. C.W. Post will host Mercy for a 7 p.m. ECC match.
