Volleyball Remains Fifth in the East Region Rankings
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Nov. 5, 2010) – The C.W. Post Volleyball team remained in the fifth slot within the East Region in the latest Division II Women's Volleyball Rankings. The rankings were released Wednesday Nov. 3, with the NCAA rankings the top ten teams in the various regions.
The Pioneers are also joined in the East Region rankings by three other East Coast Conference squads. Bridgeport and Dowling make up the top two teams in the region, and in eighth place is the Bears of New York Institute of Technology.
C.W. Post now stands at a 19-10 record, with a 5-5 conference mark through play on Tuesday Nov. 2. The most recent win came against Mercy on Nov. 2, where the Pioneers celebrated “Senior Night” with a 3-0 sweep of the mavericks. Prior to the match, seniors

Sammy Figliolia (Wantagh, N.Y.),
Amanda Ostapow (East Setauket, N.Y.), and
Marilena Guadagnini (Huntington Beach, Calif.) were honored for the participation in C.W. Post volleyball, with Tuesday Night being their final home game of their careers.
The Pioneers are back in action tonight when the team travels to Bridgeport to take on the Purple Knights for a 6 p.m. East Coast Conference match-up.
