Mike Cama Selected by Boston in the Major League Lacrosse Supplemental Draft
BOSTON, MA. (Dec. 15, 2010) – Former C.W. Post Faceoff Specialist
Mike Cama (Levittown, N.Y.), a 2010 graduate of the Pioneer Lacrosse Program, was selected 52
nd by the Boston Cannons in yesterday's Major League Lacrosse Supplemental Draft. Cama was part of the back-to-back NCAA National Championship teams for the Pioneers during 2009 and 2010.
During his time at C.W. Post, Cama accumulated 448 groundballs and a faceoff winning percentage of .663 from 2007-2010 and earned in his 2010 senior season Inside Lacrosse Division II Player of the Year. For his faceoff skills, Cama was named the 2009 and 2010 USILA Specialty Player of the Year. He was also named to the USILA All-American First Team during the same 2009 and 2010 seasons, while earning Second Team accolades during his 2008 sophomore season.
Cama was also selected during the 2010 Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft by the Toronto Nationals. During this Supplemental Draft, each team made 12 selections via conference call.
