Brown, Williams Named To Daktronics Inc. All-Super Region 1 Football Teams
All-Super Region 1 Teams
WEST CHESTER, Pa. (Dec. 2, 2010) – Senior defensive end Xavier Brown (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and senior wide receiver Darnel Williams (Brooklyn, N.Y.) were both named to the 2010 Daktronics, Inc. Division II All-Super Region 1 football teams selected by the region's athletic media relations directors. Brown was named First Team Defense while Williams garnered Second Team honors.
Brown placed on the First Team Defense and led the Pioneers with 8.5 sacks for loss of 64 yards and registered 38 tackles, including 12 for loss of 69 yards. Brown recorded two sacks apiece or a combined loss of 31 yards against Shippensburg and Millersville this season.
Williams led the entire PSAC in receptions per game with an average of 6.5. He hauled in 72 catches for 963 yards and 12 touchdowns this season. Williams caught a season-high 11 passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns against Kutztown. On four occasions he recorded two touchdown receptions.
