Brunetti led Holy Trinity to a 10-1 overall record and set a Nassau single-season rushing record with 2,451 yards and 28 touchdowns. He was New York State Player of the Year as well as First Team All-State and earned Newsday's Thorp Award as Nassau's best player. Brunetti finished his career with 5,418 rushing yards and 60 TDs.
Allen was a First Team All-State Offense and All-Long Island selection at Freeport. He rushed for 1,141 yards and 35 touchdowns last season. Allen switched over to quarterback in the Long Island semifinals and passed for 288 yards and four TDs. The Red Devils captured the Conference 1 Long Island Championship. Allen accounted for six touchdowns in the game and finished the postseason run with 1,097 passing yards and four touchdowns in four games.
Mike Gallo – (WR/DB, 6-2, 195; Seaford, N.Y./Seaford)
Gallo received the Dragon Award for the best receiver in Nassau County. He caught 25 passes for 14 touchdowns, averaging a touchdown for every 2.5 catches. Gallo led Seaford to an undefeated regular season record and the Long Island Class IV Championship. He caught five TD passes in the playoffs, including the game-winner in the final.
Maalik McVea – (LB, 6-0, 210; Freeport, N.Y./Freeport/Hofstra)
McVea was an All-Long Island selection in 2008 and was a member of the Red Devils 10-2 team that won the Nassau County Championship and the Rutgers Cup. He played on the Long Island team in the Outback Steakhouse and received the Freeport Coaches Award as a senior. McVea redshirted the 2009 season at Hofstra.
Jamal Schulters – (DB, 5-10, 185; Brooklyn, N.Y./Fork Union/Temple)
Schulters transfers in after playing two years at Temple. He returned 12 kicks for 356 yards and one touchdown for the Owls in 2008. A product of Canarsie High School in Brooklyn, Schulters helped the Chiefs reach the PSAL championship game. Schulter's older brother, Lance, was a 10-year veteran in the NFL, playing for the Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers.
Rob Bright – (ILB, 6-2, 225; East Meadow, N.Y./East Meadow)
The younger brother of inside linebacker, Matt Bright, Rob Bright was the leading rusher for East Meadow with 705 yards on 84 carries with seven touchdowns. He also averaged 25.5 yards on kick returns. With his size and athletic abilities, Bright is a good fit at the inside linebacker position and has experience at defensive back.
Edwards was an All-City selection at defensive back and led the PSAL with six interceptions.
Steve Laurino – (QB/DB, 6-0, 195; Boise, Idaho/Boise)
Younger brother of Grayson Laurino, Steve Laurino was a three-sport athlete at Boise High and was recognized as a team MVP.
