Women's Lacrosse Ranked Second In IWLCA Preseason Poll
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Feb. 9, 2010) – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association released its preseason poll for the upcoming 2010 season and C.W. Post finds itself ranked second overall.
Reigning national champion Adelphi University received 10 unanimous first-place votes to lead the field of ten programs. The Pioneers share the No. 2 position with Lock Haven University, while Mercyhurst College and Limestone College split for fourth place.
West Chester University placed sixth followed by Dowling College and University of New Haven. Stonehill College and Gannon University rounded out the ninth and tenth spots.
C.W. Post opens its 17-game slate at home against Southern New Hampshire University on March 13.
