CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (April 5, 2010) -  Freshman catcher Anthony Corona (Carmel, N.Y.) was named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, it was announced on Monday afternoon. 

Corona batted 6-for-10 in three games, helping C.W. Post to a 3-0 record.  The freshman scored one run and drove in three, also picking up two walks for a .667 on base percentage.

C.W. Post is 14-8-1 overall with an 12-3 mark in the ECC.  The Pioneers play next againt Queens tomorrow, April 6, at 3 p.m.
