Men's Lacrosse Takes Over Top Position In USILA Poll
PERRY, N.Y. (May 10, 2010) – The C.W. Post men's lacrosse team moved up to No. 1 in the final USILA coaches poll, released on Monday. The Pioneers capped off their regular season with a 26-4 win against Lake Erie College Sunday afternoon.
The Pioneers, who occupied the top spot the first seven weeks of the season, lead the poll with a 14-1 overall record. Dowling College moved up one spot to No. 2 followed by LeMoyne, who fell two spots to No. 3. Mercyhurst College was fourth followed by Limestone (5), Merrimack (6), NYIT (7), Saint Leo (8), Bentley (9) and Queens University of North Carolina (10).
C.W. Post qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season and will host Dowling on May 22 on Hickox Field.
