Softball Ranked 18th In NFCA Weekly Poll; Pioneers Ranked Second In East Region

STARKVILLE, Miss. (May, 5, 2010) – The C.W. Post softball team is ranked No. 18 in this week's NFCA coaches poll. The Pioneers are also ranked second in the NCAA East Region poll.
North Georgia leads the top 25 teams in Division II with an overall record of 45-0. New Haven is the highest ranked C.W. Post opponent at No. 10. The Pioneers are the only ranked team in the East Coast Conference. Dowling and Indiana (Pa.) received votes this week.
C.W. Post (40-12) will take on New York Institute of Technology as the No. 1 seed in the upcoming ECC Championships which begin Thursday, May 6 at 3:30 p.m. at Dowling's Brookhaven Campus.
