National Champion Men's Lacrosse Honored By Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano
GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (June 15, 2010) – The No. 1 C.W. Post men's lacrosse team was honored this afternoon by Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano for capturing its second straight NCAA Division II national title with a 14-9 win over LeMoyne College.
Members of the team met with Mangano and Assemblyman Rob Walker, who was a member of the 1996 championship team, and received official Citations in recognition of their achievements this year.
C.W. Post finished the 2010 season with an overall record of 16-1, the most wins in the program's history. The Pioneers were also East Coast Conference champions.
