Apicella Adds Tracey Lynch To Coaching Staff
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Aug. 2, 2010) – Jamie Apicella, head coach of the C.W. Post softball team, announced the hiring of Tracey Lynch as an assistant coach.
Lynch is currently the head instructor at the Frozen Ropes Training Center in Garden City. She previously served as an assistant coach of the Razorbacks, a women's fastpitch 18 and older club team in Lancaster, Pa. She also played international softball in China in 2008.
"I am very happy to announce that Tracey will be joining the C.W. Post family," remarks Apicella. "Her playing experience at Liberty and oversees in China will allow her to be a great mentor for our current athletes. Her current position at Frozen Ropes sets her up to be a tremendous asset to our program."
As a collegiate athlete, Lynch's primary position was catcher when she was a member of the Big South Conference member, Liberty University, in Lynchburg, Va. from 2005-07. She graduated with a degree in Kinesiology: Exercise Sciences in 2009.
