Volleyball Sweeps Past Georgian Court, 3-0

LAKEWOOD, N.J. (Sept. 7, 2010) – C.W. Post women's volleyball had a successful Tuesday night, as the Pioneers were able to sweep the three set match (25-15, 25-10, 25-19) against Georgian Court University.
The Pioneer attack proved to be too much for the Lions of Georgian Court University. Senior
Amanda Ostapow (East Setauket, N.Y.) paced the Pioneer offense with six service aces, as well as setting up her teammates with 17 assists in the three matches.

Marilena Guadagnini (Huntington Beach, Calif.) also had a strong match, tying for the team lead in kills with six. However, her defense also stood out, tallying 10 digs to start many Pioneer attacks.

Makamae Namahoe (Hilo, Hawaii). Namahoe also contributed eight digs in the match.
The Pioneers will return to actions Wednesday night, as they open up their home court schedule against Felician College. Action will start at 7 p.m. inside the Pratt Recreation Center on the C.W. Post Campus.
