Tennis Drops Sunday Afternoon Match to the District of Columbia, 9-0
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 2, 2011) – The C.W. Post Pioneers tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to the District of Columbia early today. The Pioneers were forced to default one singles match and one doubles match due to not fielding enough competitors for the match.
Lejla Heco (Malmo, Sweden) played the closest singles match out of any Pioneer player, as she dropped a close set 7-5 to Kristyna Negindova 7-5 before losing the final set 6-0.
The Pioneers are next scheduled to face St. Thomas Aquinas on Oct. 13 for a final match of the year.
