Softball Recognized As NFCA All-Academic Team; Seven Pioneers Named Scholar-Athletes

STARKVILLE, Miss. (Oct. 7, 2011) – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association released its list of Division II All-Academic Teams and individual Scholar Athletes and has C.W. Post listed among the top academic teams.
 
The Pioneers registered an overall GPA of 3.196 – the highest among all East Coast Conference programs - and boasts seven student-athletes who registered a 3.50 GPA or higher that includes pitcher Sarah Kiser (Arnold, Md.), outfielder Krysta Palazzo (Sea Cliff, N.Y.), second baseman Kendall Bright (Manlius, N.Y.), catcher Kristen Morcone (Milford, Mass.), pitcher Linda Amarante (Cheshire, Conn.), first baseman Angela Carmine (Westbury, N.Y.) and infielder Andrea Smith (Milford, Mass.).
