The Women's Swimming Team has Exceled in the Classroom While Competing in the Pool

Women's Swimming Earns Highest GPA Among Division II

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (February 18, 2011) – Coach #Maureen Travers# is proud to announce that her team of women swimmers has earned the highest GPA among Division II teams, according to the College Swimming Coaching Association, and has earned the Scholar All America Team Award for the Fall of 2010 Semester.
 
The squad has compiled a 3.58 GPA over the course of the fall semester, putting them ahead of Post University (Conn.) who earned a 3.57 as a team. 
 
The Team Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented to teams achieving this standard in the fall semester and in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring).
 
The College Swimming Coaches Association is the oldest coaches organization in America. In addition to Scholar All American Awards, the CSCAA recognizes All American Swimmers and Divers at the national championships every year.
 
The C.W. Post swimming will be participating in the Metropolitan Championships beginning today at Rutgers University. The championships are an all day, three day event going to this Sunday.
