Hagenah Named ECC Rookie of the Week
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (April 12, 2011) – Freshman third baseman Nicole Hagenah (Commack, N.Y.) was named this week's East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday. Hagenah has received the honor the last three weeks.
Hagenah wielded a heavy bat last week, batting .522 (12-for-23) at the plate, driving in 15 runs, including three home runs and three doubles, and scoring five runs. Hagenah's big day came against Queens, where she batted 6-for-7 with three home runs and two doubles for 10 RBI and three runs scored. She knocked out a grand slam in game two.
C.W. Post (22-8, 10-4 ECC) resumes action on the road at Southern Connecticut on Wednesday.
