In the seventh, Fisher came around to score the team's third run on an outfield error and Bright hit another RBI single that scored freshman third baseman Nicole Hagenah (Commack, N.Y.), who had earlier reached with a single.

The Mavericks threatened in the bottom of the seventh when Tayla Gardner roped a two-run double. But senior pitcher Christina Berardi (Raynham, Mass.) got out of the inning with a ground out to third to end the game.
