Softball Sees Increased Votes In This Week's NFCA Poll

STARKVILLE, Miss. (April 6, 2011) – The C.W. Post softball team continues to receive votes in the national NFCA coaches poll after posting an 8-0 record last week. The Pioneers were less than a handful short in votes of cracking the top 25.
 
The Pioneers were 8-0 last week after sweeping doubleheaders against Adelphi, American International, Merrimack and Molloy.
 
Alabama-Huntsville was the overall votegetter in the poll, receiving 15 first-place votes. Dowling College represented the only East region school in the poll, moving up four spots to 14th. Molloy College also received votes.
 
C.W. Post continues East Coast Conference play this week, beginning with Mercy on Wednesday followed by Dowling on Thursday, Bridgeport on Saturday and closing with Queens on Sunday.
