2011 ECC Softball All-Conference
Christina Berardi, Kendall Bright, Nicole Capella, Carly Chamberlain, Kerry Fisher and Nicole Hagenah received ECC All-Conference recognition at the ECC Championships.

Hagenah Named ECC Rookie Of The Year; Six Pioneers Garner All-Conference Recognition

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (May 5, 2011) – Freshman third baseman Nicole Hagenah (Commack, N.Y.) was voted the 2011 East Coast Conference Rookie of the Year, as voted up on by the conference coaches. Hagenah is among five Pioneers that were named to All-Conference teams.
 
Molloy's Carla Campagna was named the ECC Player of the Year and Dowling's Jessie Stavola was recognized as Pitcher of the Year – both receiving the honor for the second straight year. Molloy head coach Susan Cassidy-Lyke garnered Coach of the Year honors for the third straight year.
 
Hagenah, who is ranked ninth in Division II with an ECC-best .476 batting average, leads almost every offensive category in the conference. She has driven in 60 runs on 69 hits, including 13 home runs, with a .814 slugging percentage. 
 
Hagenah was also voted First Team along with junior second baseman Kendall Bright (Manlius, N.Y.). Senior pitcher Christina Berardi (Raynham, Mass) along with junior centerfielder Kerry Fisher (Barto, Pa.), sophomore catcher Nicole Capella (Shirley, N.Y.) and freshman left fielder Carly Chamberlain (Nesco, N.J.) were named Second Team.
 
C.W. Post (36-13, 20-8 ECC) will play No. 7 Dowling on Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Dowling's Brookhaven Campus.
