Boyd, DaCosta And Giordano Recognized As USILA Scholar All-Americans
PERRY, N.Y. (June 1, 2011) – The C.W. Post men's lacrosse team saw three players earn USILA Scholar All-America recognition. Seniors Erik Boyd (Coram, N.Y.), Dan DaCosta (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) and Mike Giordano (Farmingdale, N.Y.) each were named to the team.
Each player must achieve a 3.0 cum GPA or better to be considered on the All-America Team.
Boyd started all 18 of the Pioneers' games this season and recorded 10 caused turnovers and 28 ground balls on defense.
DaCosta also played in all 18 games and tallied 15 caused turnovers and 22 ground balls.
Giordano started every game in goal and recorded a 16-2 overall record with a 5.25 goals against average.
C.W. Post finished its season with a 16-2 overall record and qualified for the NCAA tournament for the third straight year.
