Volleyball Unveils 2011 Schedule
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (June 24, 2011) – The C.W. Post Volleyball team has released its schedule for the 2011 season. The Pioneers will begin with a tournament in Kutztown, Pa. where they will face off against Stonehill on Sept. 2, followed by University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and Kutztown on Sept. 3.
The team will travel again the following week, Sept. 9 and 10, to compete in a second tournament in West Chester, Pa. The Pioneers will face Stonehill for the second time, in addition to Philadelphia, Chestnut Hill, and West Chester.
C.W. Post will return to kick off their home season against Franklin Pierce on Sept. 16. The team will travel to New Haven, Conn. the following day for competitions against Le Moyne and University of New Haven.
The Pioneers will begin their conference games at home on Sept. 22 against last season's ECC champions, Dowling College.
C.W. Post will then compete in away games against Pace and Merrimack on Sept. 24 and Adelphi on Sept. 27before their second conference game against NYIT in Old Westbury on Sept. 29.
Oct. 4 will mark the first of four consecutive conference games for the Pioneers. They will face Mercy at home and then travel to compete against Bridgeport on Oct. 7 and Queens on Oct. 11. C.W. Post will return to Brookville to face Molloy on Oct. 13.
After traveling to Springfield Mass. on Oct. 15 for games against American International and St. Michael's; the Pioneers will compete in five more conference games through Oct. 28. These games will include home competitions against University of D.C. on the 16 and NYIT on the 25; as well as away matches against Dowling and Mercy on Oct. 18 and 27.
The Pioneers will compete in two non-conference road matches against Georgian Court and Concordia on Oct. 29 before finishing their season with three conference matches. The team will return home to the Pratt Recreation Center to face Bridgeport on Nov. 1. They will remain at home to compete against Queens College on Nov. 3 and will conclude their regular season close to home in Rockville Centre against Molloy on Nov. 8.
