Football DE Standout Xavier Brown Signs With Hamilton Tiger-Cats Of The CFL
HAMILTON, ONTARIO (June 9, 2011) – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League announced the signing of former C.W. Post standout Xavier Brown (Bay Shore, N.Y.) to its 2011 roster.
Brown, who was named a Don Hanson All-American following the 2011 season as well as a Super Region 1 First Team Defense and PSAC East First Team Defense selection, led the Pioneers with 8.5 sacks for loss of 64 yards and registered 38 tackles, including 12 for loss of 69 yards. He recorded two sacks apiece or a combined loss of 31 yards against Shippensburg and Millersville this season.
Brown finished his career at C.W. Post with 24.5 quarterback sacks along with 128 tackles.
The Tiger-Cats begin their season at home on June 18 against the Toronto Argonauts.
