Tennis Earns Win Over Molloy, 5-4
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Sept. 26, 2011) – The C.W. Post women's tennis squad earned its first dual match victory in 2011 with a 5-4 outcome over Molloy. The Pioneers were powered behind three singles match victories.
The Molloy Lions earned the first two doubles matches before the team had to default the final doubles match due to only have five players. This therefore made the event score 2-1 in favor of the Lions going into the singles portion of the day.
Lejla Heco (Malmo, Sweden) earned a convincing victory in first singles with a 6-0, 6-2 defeat of Jeana Frey. The Pioneers then earned the other two singles victory in second and third singles by tight margins.
