Women's Swimming Ranked 13th In Latest CSCAA NCAA Division 2 National Ranking
PHOENIX, ARIZ. (Nov. 15, 2012) – The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division 2 Swimming and Diving Team Rankings were released Wednesday evening with the LIU Post women's swimming team grabbing the 13th spot.
The CSCAA D2 Swimming and Diving Team Rankings are voted on by six CSCAA member coaches. The rankings will be released three times during 2012-13 season. The CSCAA D2 Poll Committee will produce in-season rankings of the 25 best performing NCAA Division 2 Swimming and Diving teams in rank order at the time of each poll. The poll is not designed to predict the results of the NCAA Championship, but rather which teams would win head-to-head against other teams in the country.
The Pioneers are coming off of a win on Saturday over Kutztown University in which they grabbed first place finishes in 11 of 14 events and won with an overall score of 148-99. Junior
Tamara Garriock (Duncan, British Columbia, Canada) and freshman
Joyce Kwok (Middle Village, N.Y.) each recorded two individual first place finishes along with a first place finish in the 200-yard medley relay.
LIU Post will next travel to West Point, N.Y. on Nov. 17 to take on Army at 5 p.m.
