Bonneau and Williams Take Home Both ECC Weekly Honors

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Feb. 27, 2012) – Two members of the C.W. Post men's basketball team earned Weekly Honors from the ECC as Stefan Bonneau (Middletown, N.Y.) and Tyuan Williams (Newark, N.J.) were named Player and Rookie of the Week respectively. 
Bonneau averaged 25.5 points per game to lead the Pioneers to two victories as they wrapped up their regular season. He scored 51 points in two games, along with 11 assists, two blocks and two steals for good measure. Against Dowling, he scored 25 points on 7-13 shooting and 4-7 from three-point range and also dished six assists. In a battle of first and second place teams, he scored 26 points against UDC and added five assists to lead the Pioneers to the victory. For the week, he shot 15-34 (41%) and went 15-17 from the 
charity stripe. 

Williams averaged 12.5 points per game and 8.0 rebounds per game and also added two assists and four steals. He scored 14 points with ten rebounds and three steals against Dowling and then added 11 points with six rebounds against UDC. Williams shot 10-13 for the week and made 5-10 shots from the line. 
 
C.W. Post clinched the ECC regular season conference title as well as the top seed in the upcoming ECC tournament with a 2-0 week that puts them at 21-5 overall record and 15-1 in conference play.  The Pioneers will play in the semifinals at Queens on Saturday at 5 p.m.
