Men's Lacrosse Ranked Ninth In Week 1 Of USILA Poll
PERRY, N.Y. (Feb. 28, 2012) – The C.W. Post men's lacrosse team dropped to No. 9 in Week 1 of the USILA Division II coaches poll.
The Pioneers were edged, 11-10, by Seton Hill at home on Saturday. The win moved the Griffins up to No. 7.
Mercyhurst remains the top team in the poll after claiming all 11 first-place votes. Adelphi is second followed by No. 3 Limestone, No. 4 LeMoyne, No. 5 Dowling and No. 6 NYIT. Merrimack is eighth while No. 10 Catawba, No. 11 Chestnut Hill and No. 12 Mars Hill round out the poll.
Bentley, Pfeiffer, Queens, Mercy each received votes this week.
The Pioneers are back in action on Saturday against Southern New Hampshire University for a 12 p.m. start.
