ECC Announces Playing Field For Upcoming Baseball Championships
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (May 8, 2012) – The East Coast Conference released the playing scheduled for the upcoming Baseball Championships that begin on Thursday hosted by St. Thomas Aquinas at Provident Bank Park in Pomona, N.Y. and at Jack Kaiser Field in Flushing, Queens. No. 3 seed C.W. Post will play No. 2 Dowling College in the second game of the day at 4 p.m.
The Pioneers (27-18, 16-8 ECC) were 2-3 during the regular season against the Golden Lions (28-17, 17-7 ECC). Their most recent meeting was a three-game series to end the regular season, and the three games took 40 innings to play, as the teams played a 20-inning contest and a 13-inning contest during the weekend.
The winner of the game one featuring No. 1 St. Thomas Aquinas and No. 4 Bridgeport will play the winner of game two on Friday at 11 a.m. The losing teams of both games will play at 9 a.m.
