BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Sept. 28, 2012) - LIU Post will host Edinboro University in a PSAC West crossover contest on Saturday at 1 p.m.  The Pioneers look to rebound from last week's 42-27 loss to Bloomsburg University.

The overall series between the two teams is tied at two with the Fighting Scots winning the last two games in 2008 and 2009.

The Pioneers (2-1, 1-1 PSAC East) are averaging 39.3 points a game compared to Edinboro's 21.0.  Defensively, Edinboro senior free safety Kenny Pettis leads the PSAC with 43 tackles (18u, 25a).

The Pioneers got a boost in offense last week with the return of junior running back Anthony Brunetti (Bayville, N.Y.), who carried the ball 11 times for 73 yards and two touchdowns.  In all, the Pioneers totaled a season-high 50 carries against the Huskies for 164 yards.  LIU Post is averaging 383 offensive yards this season.

Edinboro (1-2, 1-1 PSAC West) earned its first win of the season last weekend at Lock Haven with a 35-19 victory.  Junior quarterback Cody Harris accounted for all five touchdowns with two rushes and three completed passes in the endzone to finish with 280 passing yards and 51 rushing.

Prior to the first snap of the game, 2012 LIU Post Hall of Fame inductees Paul Engelhardt, Joe Gangemi and Peter Lazare will walk out with the current Pioneers for a ceremonial coin toss.
