Men's Lacrosse Dedicates Another Weekend to Local Youths
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Nov. 23, 2013) - For the second-consecutive weekend, Head Coach
John Jez (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) and the LIU Post men's lacrosse team organized a play day for children with special needs. The event was held at the Pratt Recreation Center on the LIU Post campus.
Ten players, led by junior
Dan Jeannotte (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.), hosted five youths with down syndrome on Sunday, and played a game of kickball and tag.
The afternoon was concluded by the offering of tee-shirts, and autographed Pioneers' lacrosse posters.
LIU Post kicks off its 2014 campaign on Feb. 15 in Charlotte, N.C. at Queens. The opening faceoff is set for 2 p.m.
