CENTERVILLE, Mass. (Dec. 20, 2013) - The ECAC put out its 2013 Division II Football All-Star Team on Thursday, and two Pioneers were honored. Freshman wide receiver Michael Richardson (West Babylon, N.Y.) captured rookie of the year accolades, while senior linebacker Rob Bright (East Meadow, N.Y.) was tabbed a defensive all-star.

Richardson adds the award to his Northeast-10 All-Rookie honor earlier this offseason. He was an all-around threat for the green and gold, racking up 601 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 48 catches. The West Babylon, N.Y. native also amassed 126 rushing yards and one touchdown on 26 carries.

Bright was a defensive standout during his time at LIU Post. In 2013, he tallied 128 total tackles (55 solo, 73 assist), 14 of which went for a loss of yardage. He brought the quarterback down for a total of 3.5 sacks as well, and forced one fumble. Plus, Bright was used on offense in goalline situations, and even caught a touchdown pass against Pace (Oct. 19).

LIU Post closed out the season with an overall record of 5-6 and an NE-10 mark of 3-6. For more information on Pioneers' football, please continue to visit www.LIUPostPioneers.com.
