Men's Lacrosse Ranked No. 9 in USILA Weekly Poll
PERRY, N.Y. (March 12, 2012) – The LIU Post men's lacrosse team moved up one spot and hold the No. 9 ranking in this week's USILA Coaches poll, released on Monday.
The Pioneers opened 2013 with three straight wins. A trip to North Carolina saw the Pioneers come away with a 10-6 victory over Queens (N.C.) and a 14-5 defeat of Coker College, followed by a trip to Albany, where the Pioneers handed Saint Rose a 15-6 loss.
Mercyhurst holds the No. 1 spot in the poll, with a 1-0 record following a defeat of Queens. The Lakers also garnered six first place votes.
Le Moyne stands at at No. 2 with one first-place vote, and Limestone at No. 3 with two-first place votes.
Dowling, the presesason No. 1, comes in at No. 5 after losing to Limestone in a national championship rematch.
Next up for the Pioneers is a trip to Long Island rival Adelphi on March 2 at 12 p.m.
