Men's Lacrosse Earns Nine All-Conference; Beccaris Tabbed Rookie Of The Year
2013 ECC All-Conference Teams
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (May 10, 2013) – Nine members of the LIU Post men's lacrosse team have been tabbed members of the 2013 East Coast Conference Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Teams. Freshman
Matty Beccaris (North Babylon, N.Y.) was named this year's Rookie of the Year.
Beccaris was a huge factor in the Pioneers going from a 6-6 team in 2012 to an 11-2 squad in 2013. The freshman attacker was LIU Post's most potent scorer, leading the team in goals (34), assists (14), and points (48). Both his point and goal total were ranked in the top-10 in the ECC.
Joining Beccaris on the first team was senior long-stick midfielder
T.J. McAndrew (Randolph, N.J.).
Six members of the Pioneers garnered second-team honors including freshman attacker
Ryan Slane (North Babylon, N.Y.), sophomore midfielder
Connor Drost (Wading River, N.Y.), sophomore defender
Robbie Chiocco (Massapequa, N.Y.), sophomore defender
Justin Woodley (Bloomington, Minn.), junior midfielder
Octovio Bernabo (Mahopac, N.Y.), and senior goalkeeper
Tim Bradley (Levittown, N.Y.). Earning honorable mention honors was freshman midfielder
Anthony Berardis (Mahopac, N.Y.).
