Softball Slated 11th in 2014 NFCA Preseason Poll
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Jan. 29, 2014) - On Wednesday, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association released its Preseason Division II Top-25 Poll, and LIU Post held the 11th spot in the rankings.
The Pioneers closed out their 2013 campaign with a 47-15 record after making a trip to the NCAA East Regional for the 14th time in the last 15 seasons. The green and gold are joined in the census by fellow East Region member Caldwell at No. 19.
Reigning national champion Central Oklahoma was a unanimous pick for the top slot in the poll, while East Region schools Molloy, New Haven, and Adelphi all received votes.
