Bright Picked to Football Gazette All-Super Region One Team

BROOKFIELD, Ill. (Jan. 8, 2014) - After making a career-high 128 tackles in 2013, LIU Post senior linebacker Rob Bright (East Meadow, N.Y.) earned a spot on the Don Hansen Football Gazette All-Super Region One third-team, announced Wednesday morning.

He also added six pass breakups, 3.5 sacks, two quarterback hurries and a forced fumble on the season. On the offensive side of the ball, the East Meadow native recorded his first career receiving touchdown, on a one-yard pass from Steven Laurino (Boise, Idaho) in a 58-0 blanking of Pace on Oct. 19.

Bright, who averaged the 10th-most tackles in the nation (11.7), finished with 239 tackles for his four-year career, 25 of which were for a loss. He had seven sacks, five forced fumbles and two interceptions all-time as well.
